Questions agents ask
Can I pick up just one contract?
Yes. Contract with one carrier or as many as you like. There is no minimum, and you do not have to move your other contracts.
How does final expense contracting work?
It is all online through SureLC by SuranceBay. After you request contracts here, you receive a SureLC invitation, complete your profile once, and e-sign for each carrier you choose.
How fast will I be appointed?
Some carriers can appoint you in as little as 3 days. Timing depends on the carrier and your state, and each carrier makes the final decision.
What commission levels are available?
First-year levels go up to 110% of annual premium with many carriers, shown on the commission board above. Actual levels vary by product, issue age and contract level, and are subject to carrier approval.
Do I own my book of business?
Yes, your clients stay yours, subject to each carrier's agreement.
Do I need a license?
You need an active resident life license to be appointed, and an accident & health license for health and Medicare products. If your license is in progress, apply now and we will help you plan your next steps.
How do the lead programs work?
We do not sell leads. We work with exclusive third-party vendors for low-cost direct-mail and real-time digital leads, and pass our discount on to you. We do not make any money from leads.
Can I also get Medicare Advantage contracts?
Yes. We contract Medicare Advantage carriers too. You must complete AHIP and each carrier's certification before selling, and compensation is set by each carrier within CMS limits.
What if my state is not listed?
We currently contract agents in the 15 states where our agency is licensed, and we are adding states as requests come in. Apply and choose “Other state.”
